When we think of soap, we think of bar, liquid, or foam that we use to wash dirty things with. We often use hand soap to wash dirt and germs from our hands, body soap in the shower, dish soap for dishes, and more. When a soap maker thinks about soap, they think of all the different ways soaps are used based on how it was manufactured.
With all of the different uses for soap, it’s no wonder that soap manufacturers are in such high demand. Here are just some of the different ways your customers can use soap purchased from you.
Cuts Through Grease
One of the best uses for liquid soap is its ability to cut through oil and grease. Many wildlife rehabilitation facilities use it to clean animals that were trapped in oil spills. Just a couple of drops of liquid dish soap can remove the toughest grease stains along with the help of some hot water.
Keep Bugs Away
Soap production (known as ผลิตสบู่ in Thai) companies will manufacture any type of soap their customers order, but chances are they never thought their products would be used to deter bugs. If insects are overrunning your garden, you can use a couple of drops of liquid soap mixed with water to keep chasing them away. Spray the soapy water directly on the leaves of the plant and repeat as needed.
It’s not just liquid soap that can be used as a bug repellent. Bar soap placed in the garden can work to deter bugs. Peppermint Castile soap diluted with water helps get rid of ants. Shavings of a strongly scented soap can also deter rabbits and deer.
Serves as a Lubricant
Many people are unaware that soap, whether liquid or bar soap, works well as an alternative to oil or grease. For example, to loosen a stuck zipper, gently rub it with bar soap. If you have a stiff door lock, you can loosen things up by rubbing the key with soap before inserting it into the lock. Using soap as a lubricant is faster, easier, and cleaner than taking everything apart to apply grease or oil.
Fix squeaky floorboards with a small amount of damp soap. The best trick is using soap to loosen a ring that is stuck on your finger. All you need to do is rub the finger with soap, and when you wash your hands, the ring will slide right off. Rub soap along the bottom track of a sliding glass door to help it slide open.
